This painting was inspired by a power dream I had in Nov. 2013. In my dream, two eagles with their talons locked together were moving forward in flight. They then morphed into a single raven and my focus was directed at and filled with the image of one large, black eye surrounded by a yellow ring. The very next morning my vision came to life. As I went out my front door I heard an eagle calling at the back of my house. When I peered around the corner to see if I could see it, two eagles with their talons locked together came flying just above the roof line of my neighbours house. They looked at me and then turned back the way they had come. A crow that had been sitting on the lamppost in front of his house was startled and flew towards my yard. It dropped a bone that he had been pecking at and it bounced off the retaining wall and landed at my feet. I believe the dream represents the onset of a spiritual journey that my wife and I are now taking together.
